Benjamin Tanner is the President and CEO of Microchem Laboratory. He holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Arizona where he studied disease transmission with Dr. Charles Gerba. He is the author of the book, Legal Aspects of Infectious Diseases and has served as an expert microbiologist in dozens of infection-related lawsuits. He has owned and operated Microchem Laboratory for 20 years since it started as Antimicrobial Test Labs in 2006. He served as CEO of Clinical Research Laboratories, now part of Eurofins, overseeing clinical and claims testing operations. A current focus is helping Microchem’s clients understand GMP regulations and guiding them with testing plans as MoCRA, the new cosmetics GMP regulation approaches in 2027.
